GREAT LAKES POWER

Project: Great Lake Power
Client: Great Lakes Power / Lakeland Construction Group
Contractor: Lakeland Construction Group
Location: Madison Village, Ohio

Description: GLP serves a global market in the off-highway power transmission and drive train industries and other related industrial component manufacturers.

With three separate locations in the Northern Ohio area, GLP desired to have all their operations in one facility.

A 2-story office building with ACM panels sets the tone of the facility. The medium gray and metallic light gray panels makes a sharp looking combination. Glass stairwells help accent and break-up the building mass.

The main manufacturing area is enclosed with 2-tone precast panels and plenty of windows. A second story area for storage is also provided.

It was very important to have a nighttime presence. Specialty exterior blade lighting and glass stairwells help illuminate the building.

Several cranes, wash bay, and welding areas help the main flow of the operation. An all facility backup generator and severe weather shelter allows the staff to be safe as well as allow production to continue if the power goes out.
